NAME: Jayle Averre Narra, goes by Jay
AGE: 34
PB: Jason David Frank
POSITION: Pirate Crew - First Mate!
AFFILIATION: Pirate
SPECIES: Half Naga/Half Human
ANYTHING ELSE: Jayle looks like a human, but does not function like one. He has inherited the genetic strength (used to coil around predators) for hardened muscles (beyond the strength of an average male), sheathed fangs inside his mouth that inject venom, a black, forked tongue and an almost too sleek look about his skin. Once a month he sheds his skin, and for several days beforehand he is known to be irritable and almost "blue" in appearance, due to the skin preparing to separate. His need for sustenance (food, strictly meat) only comes up about once every 7-10 days, and his digestion is incredibly slow. Too much food would cripple/injure/kill him.
Bred into captivity and raised in a life of slavery, Jayle and other half-breeds like himself were kept for entertainment purposes. Pure blood Nagas are considered too unpredictable to keep, and so his kind were brought into existence. There are hundreds of others like him, though still rare as a whole, and he was (and still is) worth a pretty penny.
He escaped from his "family" at the age of eleven, intent on setting out on his own, making his own life, collecting the pride he was never allowed to have. He found Ryan and the two of them escaped together, boarding - without knowing - a merchant pirate ship. Jay worked hard to earn the respect of the crew, viewed instantly as pampered and useless. He proved himself over time, grew into maturity and became his own man. When Ryan took over as Captain, he stood by her side and assumed First Mate. He is incredibly, fiercely loyal to the Captain, and would kill to protect her name. The two of them have worked together ever since.
Jayle has an intense sense of loyalty and drive, and will not stand for disorder among the crew. He tends to be warm to those that are allowed to get close, though he is wary and rough around the edges to those who have yet to prove themselves to him. He doesn't tend to go out of his way to talk, and is more inclined to listen and give input as needed.
He is agile and quick with the sword, knives and any other bladed object he encounters. He refuses to use guns, but will happily equip himself with a crossbow if given the opportunity. He carries a sword and a stolen, golden-gripped dagger at all times.
